Teaching 21st Century Kids®

Re-Thinking Education

We have 19th century classrooms, 20th century teachers and 21st century kids!  Education for this generation of youth needs to be emotional, relational, interactive and relevant.

When kids are “wired”, their world changes every 2 to 7 seconds, yet they are expected to be compliant and sit at their desks for 40 minutes or more without participating.

Teaching 21st Century Kids (T21CK) goes beyond computers and the Internet as the primary source of change in the classroom.  T21CK is a   one-day (7-hours) workshop for up to 25 teacher/school staff that offers a suite of strategies for achieving peak performance goals and working with immediate challenges; without adding another layer of work in the classroom.

For kids to be engaged in learning, education needs to be:

Emotional:  The place of EQ in learning.

Relational:   Kids are visible and valued and know they belong to the family of teachers and
                     peers.

Interactive: Kids have a voice, work in teams and are encouraged to use critical thinking for

                     problem solving and solution making.

Relevant:     How academics apply to creating a positive future.
